I know the anime series is onli 26 esp.


But the manga is like 122


Are they planing to finsh the manga series and then make it into an anime

Fruit Basket Second Season?
I went to a convention last summer where Funimation covered this question. They%26#039;d like to get season 2 stateside, but they%26#039;re having issues with getting the voice actors--seems they had to pull some out of retirement for season one and they won%26#039;t be able to do it again. Because Japan takes their anime and voice actors so much more seriously, they can%26#039;t just get someone else to do it. I wouldn%26#039;t count on ever getting more Furuba anime here.


(BTW, the manga is on vol. 14, not 122.)
Reply:I don%26#039;t really know. Some time ago, Funimation tried to get Fruits Basket%26#039;s production company to continue the anime, but I don%26#039;t remember hearing anything else after that. Making an anime of any length requires a production budget, and 99% of the time when the budget runs out, the anime ends. That%26#039;s what happened to Fruits Basket, and it%26#039;s unlikely they will find someone to finance a continuation.
